In 2022, the Steelcase Foundation awarded Grand Rapids Civic Theatre (GRCT) a two-year $114,000 grant to support the creation of the City Wide Drama Club (CWDC). The program was born out of six years of collaborative programming and conversations between GRCT and community partners at local public schools and will marry the existing work taking place both within those schools and at GRCT to provide a holistic experience for after-school theatre arts programming. Hear from GRCT staff and participants as they share their insights into the work and the vision for City Wide Drama Club, which will officially launch for the fall 2024-2025 school year.
