Supporting New American Women with Treetops Collective

March 9, 2023
Three young women in matching artsy hoodies share a smile by a vibrant mural, celebrating community and creative expression.

In January of 2023, the Steelcase Foundation awarded Treetops Collective a three-year $150,000 grant to support its cross-cultural movement to connect with and invests in New American women leaders. Treetops Collective began in 2017 through community conversations about how to better support refugee families as they work to build roots in West Michigan. As disseminators of information, Treetops focuses its support on women, knowing they will share their wisdom across their families and communities, to amplify their impact through shared knowledge.

Over the next three years, we will partner with Treetops Collective as it delivers programs and services to support New American women’s mental and emotional health, provide tangible skill training and knowledge to navigate local systems, and build community across and within cultures.
